Review of Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) by Jerry F — 04 Mar 2009

Clever story absoutely doesn't fit into the Jason lore! The film tried to give Jason a mystical Freddy-like backstory and it fails to work. The story is good, but exectuted very poorly. That said, this is the best looking cinimatically of the series, and Jason's design is the best in this picture.

The thing that really hinders it is that it is needlessly overkill with the violence. BUT, there are some cool homages to other horror flicks such as Evil Dead 1&2, as well as the Freddy Krugger franchise.
