Review of Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) by Jeremy C — 01 Nov 2012
New Line's first film in the series, the first without a number, and the last to include "Friday" in the title... This one dispenses with much of the style of the previous Paramount produced movies, ignoring the storyline of the last movie, dispensing with featuring teenagers, and in fact had a story where Jason's spirit was leaping into different people during the film.
. It also ended with Freddy's hand (from the "Nightmare" series) coming out of the ground to grab Jason's hockey mask to setup the eventual team up movie... A lot of misguided stuff here but the biggest mistake is that they left out the humor of the last three films and played this one straight for the most part.
. and as a result it's a fairly boring movie.
