Review of Jason Bourne (2016) by Rosalind J — 25 Aug 2016
Could be re-titled Jason Boring. I've seen all the JB films, but those others at least had interesting plots. I knew things were going bad when the chase in Greece is going on and I'm just thinking what's the deal with the CIA "borgs" still looking like "borgs" -- I mean, the technology hasn't advanced enough that they all don't still have a wire coming out of their ears? Latter when master villain/sniper is magically situated on a rooftop above where Bourne and Parsons (Stiles) crash, and surprise-surprise - that hag Stiles bites it -- YAWN! Jason Bourne was never a chatty character, but he's reaching Stalone-ian levels now.
I suppose it saves on paper and time memorizing lines. One wonders what Ludlum must think - but he passed a year before this series came out. Must thank Matt Damon for bringing my family together in a contentious election year; we all hated it.
