Review of Jason Bourne (2016) by Tyler S — 27 Aug 2016
I absolutely loved this entry into the Bourne Franchise. What I loved about this movie, is that it didn't change anything, or attempt anything new. It sticks to the guns of the previous films, and continues on with the story.
Jason Bourne being gunned down by the CIA while he tries to uncover things about his past.
The action sequences are terrific, Damon exudes a steady calmness and confidence that embodies Jason Bourne, while at the same time, kicking tail and taking names.
Paul Greengrass film so many good action sequences, and adds a calming chaos that brings the viewer in and glues them to the screen. There are a couple in this film in particular that couldn't be done any better by another director. The Vegas chase is just extravagant. Also the Greece scene was fantastic chaos.
I loved Tommy Lee Jones here also as CIA director. While Noavosa was previously better in the previous installment, Jones did what he had to do in the role and pulled it off nicely.
Matt Damon again leads the way in this charged action thriller that was just like previous installments...and that is just fine with me.
