Review of Jason Bourne (2016) by Danburrito — 28 Jul 2016
Though not the best instalment in the franchise, Jason Bourne benefits from more strong work from Matt Damon and exhilarating action scenes. The film's biggest issue really is the absense of Tony Gilroy.
He brought something to the franchise that this movie doesn't have. Still, Alicia Vikander and Tommy Lee Jones are welcome additions to the series, and it's a pleasure to see Matt Damon return to the franchise.
The car chase scenes are magnificently done. So overall, while not entirely nessecary, Jason Bourne mostly compensates for its flaws with an action-packed plot and charismatic performances. 7.5/10.
