Review of Jason Bourne (2016) by Brettplank — 31 Jul 2016
A lazy sequel that was flat and hard to grasp — you didn't have that sense of clarity Bourne was feeling in his last two films (not the Renner film). While the fight scenes and overall pace felt alright at times, I could not get a clear sense of anyone's motives, even Bourne's.
It felt out of sync and that was disappointing considering I am a huge fan of the series. Like they kept telling Bourne in the film, he is getting too old for this. Ultimately, it was less creatively done than the first three films which would be hard to replicate now seeing Paul's motives with the future films.
