An engaging and entertaining wartime drama that presents its story and characters competently, though ultimately bringing nothing new to the table. Jake Gyllenhaal is at his best here, well supported by a scene-stealing Jamie Foxx and an intriguingly mysterious Peter Sarsgaard.
