Review of Jarhead (2005) by Ewald V — 20 Mar 2011
A chance to experience what it's like for marines of the desert waiting for a war to break out and how they deal with it. This movie circles around a certain marine and his experience of a desert war without even shooting his weapon.
The movie also shows the brotherhood of the marines, their bonds and attitudes. I personally felt that although it was an interesting angle to see a war from, as a movie it lacked pace and was void of any real action.
It felt more like a movie-diary or documentary, which isn't bad but this movie could have offered a bit more.
