Review of Jarhead (2005) by Steven J — 27 Nov 2012
A frank and truthful look at the life of young soldiers in the military, here facing cruel training and desert boredom in Kuwait. Good performances, and well directed, but it's very cold and hard to like.
The few scenes where the troops watch older war films together remind you that we've kind of seen all this before, and it's not really offering anything new.
