Review of Jane Got a Gun (2015) by Dave M — 02 Feb 2016
Despite the terrible title and the difficulties behind the scenes (directors quitting on the first day of shooting, replacement actors replacing replacement actors), Jane Got a Gun isn't nearly as terrible as one might fear.
The biggest issue is that it's a bit soggy in the middle, relying heavily on flashbacks of varying importance to the plot. The main players are fine, with Portman and Edgerton keeping the film moving even as the pace begins to crawl.
While perhaps not worth a $15 theater ticket, it wouldn't be a bad Redbox option.
