Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Andrea F — 25 Oct 2011
A perfectly serviceable adaptation that captures the heart of the novel. Obviously some of the events are streamlined or cut, but not so much that you lose the sense of the plot. Mia Wasikowska was pitch perfect as young yet levelheaded Jane, and Michael Fassbender, while younger than the traditional Rochester, perfectly captured his Byronic, brooding nature.
I'm calling it right now; Fassbender is the brooding "it boy" of the future. Overall, a worthwhile two hours.
