Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Daniel P — 05 Dec 2011

This was an amazingly good movie - really blew me away. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I did. Was expecting a Jane Austen-esque type of movie. Splendid performances. To think Jane Eyre was written in the mid 19th century is remarkable - to have a female character such as that in that era is quite an accomplishment.

Mia Wasikowska did an amazing job, as did Michael Fassbender. I really, really liked the Jane Eyre character - that type of personality and disposition is all but extinct in today's world. I would very much like to meet someone like Jane Eyre if she's anything like the Jane Eyre of this film.

I'm disappointed it has taken me this long to see it.
