Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Danielle S — 04 May 2012
Ugh. Horrible adaptation. Thankfully I only spent a dollar to rent it, but it certainly wasn't worth that. This version was a tadbit on the dark side with a hint of too obvious sexual tension, which is never implied in the book.
I like Michael as the young Magneto, but the part of Mr. Rochester didn't suit him well. His version was brash and cold compared to the charming, witty and enigmatic Mr Rochester from the book. I could go on, but there's no point.
The timeless classic was completely ruined by this ghastly adaptation.
