Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Jodie H — 14 Sep 2011
Like any other typical Jane Eyre movie. It always has the same storyline, however they changed it a little bit in this adaptation of the book. Unlike any other adaptations, this movie begins somewhat far into the movie with the focus of her remembering back what had happened to her before when she was with Mr Rochester and even as far back as when she was a child.
Mia Wasikowska played the character of Jane beautifully, however she did come across rather wooden and you dont really see the strength in Jane Eyre like you are meant to. Michael Fassbender as Mr Rochester was superb in his role and brought the character to life with little effort.
I recommend this movie to anyone who is interested in period pieces from 1800s England, especially if a fan of the Brontes or Dickens as they are kind of similar. I could watch this over and over again.
