Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Cory K — 06 Apr 2012
By tossing in a modern narrative thread to a classic Victorian novel, the filmmakers offer better mystery and intimate storytelling. The acting is appropriately restrained and the photography dutifully rich in blacks and natural lighting.
Dario Marianelli's beautiful and delicate score fills in for the rest.
