Review of James White (2015) by Zacho D — 09 Oct 2015
VIFF Review: "James White" really has nothing to say. The film is about a guy who's an alcoholic and a mess, but when his mother is diagnosed with cancer, he has to take care of her. You would think that it would provide an interesting message about her disease fixing him as a person or him understanding what he has been missing through his life, but this film just ends abruptly with no resolution and you're left not with a different outlook on life or even an entertaining ride, but rather, with a sense that you watched 2 really good performances in a movie that wasted 85 minutes of your time.
It earned maybe 20.
