Review of James and the Giant Peach (1996) by Tom R — 10 Aug 2010
A very short movie that oozes with stylish stop motion, much like The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach is a watchable feast for the eyes. The Henry Selick (the man behind Coraline) visuals are the best part of the film, as I don't think it's one of author Roald Dahl's (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic Mr.
Fox, Matilda) better stories. It's one of those movies that's a hundred times better when you're a kid, but James and the Giant Peach is still good.
