Review of Jacob's Ladder (1990) by Ace V — 02 Mar 2009
Within my top 5 favorite movies. It's dark and creepy. Tim Robbins and the rest of the cast is great. It's a smart horror movie, which doesn't happen often enough. The Silent Hill video game series was losely based off this, among other things.
Great story that blurs the lines between horror, mystery, and edge of your seat thriller. Strange visuals such as the fast shaking heads, which was a first, inspired music videos for Manson, Tool, and NIN.
Overall great movie. One of the best.
