SOmtimes I watch movies to be entertianed... other times I watch them to be challenged. Jacob' Ladder is of the latter sort... a movie with multiple levels of narrative that leave the viewer never quite sure about what is real and what isn't.
the whole movie is well done, and the descent into the lower levels hospital is one of the more harrowing scenes I've seen in a movie. Two thumbs up!
