An intense character driven story. It's a movie that you probably would not appreciate right after you've seen it. You see it somewhere, perhaps on cable, perhaps multiple years later and you watch it and you then truly see and appreciate the power of this film!
The much more intelligent predecessor to Donnie Darko.
