Review of Jacob's Ladder (1990) by Lora R — 29 Aug 2012
Not for all audiences, but I thought Jacob's Ladder was a fantastic psychological thriller. I want to call it subtle even though I know there are a few gruesome visuals, but overall the tension is really built by the unknown, and it takes a lot of good writing and directing to make something like that happen.
There are some really nice touches by director Adrian Lyne, and now I understand what people see in Tim Robbins.
