Review of Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang (1978) by Jonathan S — 12 May 2014
A superb 70's adaptation of the children's book by Mordecai Richler. It's grainy and gloomy, which matches the mood of the story. They shot it in Montreal, which fits the book nicely. The casting is especially good for all the characters.
The set design is low-budget, but imaginative. It matches the illustrations in the book. There are great songs too, including the touching theme song and fantastic Child Power theme whenever they went to battle.
A childhood favorite.
