Review of Jackpot (2012) by Jonathan B — 20 Aug 2012
Riding in on the coat tails of the Scando noir popularity, see's the second Jo Nesbo adaptation released this year on UK shores. Its a brisk darkly comic crime tale, which like Headhunters (released earlier this year) has more than a passing debt to the mid nineties post modern crime thrillers of say Tarantino and the Coens - complete with a very Tarantino mexican stand off at the end.
Its very funny in parts, but doesn't feel original in the slightest.
