Review of Jackie Brown (1997) by Bob L — 02 Sep 2011
Finally got around to seeing this! Not a blindingly obvious Tarantino flick, and not quite as clever as Pulp Fiction. An Elmore Leonard story with Tarantino trademarks all over it, with what feels like blaxsploitation homages throughout, comes across as less gimmicky as Quentins other work with a more mature pace.
All the cast fire on all cylinders and turn out great performances to make this a top caper movie.
