Review of Jackie Brown (1997) by Trent P — 15 Nov 2011
It rambles a bit more than it should, but that's a small complaint when the dialogue is so exquisite and the plot is so intricately clever. This is one of Tarantino's best films; it's expertly acted by a dream cast, and criminally underrated only due to the lack of stylistic excess, pop-culture references, and graphic violence.
Jackie Brown is quintessential Tarantino, and proves that he's a master filmmaker with or without those trademarks.
