Not the best Tarantino film, but his curse is always being compared to Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs.
If you've got the time, give it a chance. It's a great slow-burner of a film and you have to really pay attention to the nuances of the character's interactions to 'get it'. It's mostly been badly reviewed by people spoilt by the modern desire for action and explosion-fests. JB is intelligent, witty, brilliantly acted by all involved and extremely well constructed. Had it been made by any other director it would have been applauded and won hosts of accolades.
