Jackie Brown swaps the lauded quirks that made Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction so beloved with a mellower, slow burn brilliance. It is intense, suspenseful and finally unnerving and Pam Grier, in a terrific comeback role plays the title lead with sexy gusto.
It is the director's most mature and most overlooked work.
