Review of Jackie Brown (1997) by Vadim D — 09 Apr 2015
Something about Jackie Brown that feels like quintessential Tarantino, yet it is most unlike of his other films. Perhaps it's because the characters are a bit older and their problems are more mundane, and therefore the pop culture moments that Tarantino has become so associated with aren't as pronounced.
Yet, it still has the Tarantino trademark writing style and unfolding of the story line. It's definitely a well made film, but not one that draws you back for more.
