Review of Jackie Brown (1997) by John B — 26 Apr 2013
Tarantino's third film might not be as violent, spontaneous, and action-packed as Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction was, but just as intelligent, absorbing, and entertaining. This is a wonderful film that not only revitalizes the careers of actress Pam Grier, and actor Robert Forster, but it places them in roles better than they ever have been before, and showcases their continuing acting strengths.
I love everything about this film, especially the build up of the final scene that will leave your heads turning, and power intelligence has over which character will win this intricate scam. Don't be hesitant to watch because of the length, it doesn't drag you in, it makes you forget this film HAS a time length.
