Review of Jackie & Ryan (2014) by Jack H — 06 Jul 2015
This is a slow thoughtful movie with some really fine performances. Unlike some of the professional critics, I regretted the "realistic" aspects of transient passions and fancies. The point of "romance" is that it is unrealistic - an aspiration not a reality.
Is this a romance? Well, maybe. But it's a romance about finding one's self. Not about finding another.
And I just have one thing to say about all the pixels wasted on calling Heigl things like a"pariah"....for heaven sakes what is wrong with you? That's just plain rude.
