One of the best movies of the year! Director Larrain and writer Oppenheim offer an intimate and unique glimpse into a historical figure we thought we knew. The result is powerful, captivating and surprising because it takes an unconventional approach to the usual biopic formula.
At the center is Portman's enthralling portrayal of loss and resilience. She is by turns moving, calculating, humane and always riveting to watch. This is career-best work. There is a haunting effect to the movie, thanks to strong directing, writing, cinematography and score.
A must-see movie!
