Review of Jackie (2016) by Familiar S — 18 Mar 2017
"Jackie" is a fascinating look at sadness and loss and one of the better biopics out there. It is a pretty simple story but what makes it great is Natalie Portman's performance. The movie is shot beautifully and the score has a haunting effect.
It's an artistic story about someone dealing with immense tragedy in her life. I think the movie is pretty slow paced but it is also interesting and very well made. If you're a fan of performances in which you see the character and not the actor or actress, this movie is a great one to watch.
