Review of Jackass: The Movie (2002) by Brian F — 04 Apr 2012
The feature film debut of the popular and controversial tv series of the same name. Jackass: The Movie is not really a "movie" in that sense. It has no plot or characters and is more of an hour and a half long episode.
What's different about The Movie, is that there is no censorship. Cuss words no longer had to be beeped out, any nudity was shown fully, and the crew were allowed to do stunts and pranks that would have been considered too extreme for tv, which was probably the only reason to do a "movie".
Those of you who are unfamiliar with the show and don't know exactly what to expect, you may be turned off of it. This is humor at it's lowest form and It has some rather disgusting moments. However, those of you who are fans of the show and know exactly what to expect, you will absolutely love it.
