Review of Jackass: The Movie (2002) by David B — 14 May 2012
A movie with no plot. But the "cast" are fantastic with amazing and stupid stunts, it's a no-brainer but it's very funny. Not everyone's taste, but the lads are more charming than those welsh twats.
It's not exactly stupid. Cynical might be a better word. Ok, so this film was never going to win some Oscars but this is made purely for entertainment reason and by God does it work. Every scene is a laugh-out-loud moment, though some of the gags didn't win me over, on a whole it's the most daring, funniest film made and to be honest, I'm not sure weither to class it as a film but hey, who cares.
As brainless as the movie incarnations of both South Park and Beavis and Butt-head, Jackass is just as funny as both -- and better than many of the so-called comedies Hollywood produces.
