If there is anything that brings down the latest Jackass effort, it is that you really shouldn't show all of the best stunts and japes in the trailer. If I had gone in 'blind' as it were I probably would have found the film far more hilarious.

As it stands however the effect of the more outrageous stunts is a tad muddled. It's still a good film, and pretty damn funny, but trying to shoehorn a story into Jackass, then spoiling all the good bits for the audience kind of ruins the experience.

Worth a watch for sure, but not a classic. If this is all we can expect from Jackass now (and as 3 and 3.5 were a tad lacklustre also) then perhaps they need to retire the brand for a little while.
