I haven't seen any other of the jackass movies, but I've seen some clips and it all seems pretty funny, if not a little extreme. I like the idea. Bad Grandpa combines the 'real reactions caught on tape' thing with a written narrative, and it doesn't always work.
Bad Grandpa doesn't really work as either a written film or one of the jackass movies because it is BOTH of them. It's still funny and entertaining though. I liked the written stuff as well as the pranks, even if they don't fit together.
