Review of Jackass Number Two (2006) by Cameron J — 11 Oct 2010
I think I can enjoy it for what it is. The fact is that no matter how repulsive these people may seem, it's hard not to like and admire their fearlessness. Johnny Knoxville is always funny and I loved Spike Jonze's cameo in prosthetics as a strange old female nudist.
There is no doubt the more outrageous the stunts, the funnier they tend to be. Some of it can get really repetitive, but for the most part it's fun to see the cameraderie between these guys and their willingness to participate.
I think that at their core they have a lot of heart and are able to laugh at their own humiliation, which is really part of what makes it so contagiously fun and enjoyable.
