Review of Jackass Number Two (2006) by Thomas H — 25 Apr 2011

Jackass Number Two made me laugh harder than any movie of 2006. As expected the movie contained things that would make your stomach turn inside out. Debased, infantile and reckless in the extreme, this compendium of body bravado and malfunction makes for some of the most fearless, liberated and cathartic comedy in modern movies. It didn't seem possible, but the cast might just have cooked up a sequel that's even wilder, funnier, extra-depraved and more gag-inducing than the seemingly incomparable "Jackass the Movie." Parts of this are screamingly funny, other parts downright stomach turning, but you have to admire the fact that, for these guys, "anything for a laugh" really means anything. Overall a good movie but, be prepared to turn away once the grossness reaches the limit of your tolerance.

VERDICT: "Full Price" - Second highest rating in the system (Positive to Mixed reaction). This is a rating to a movie I view as very entertaining and well made, and definitely worth paying the full price at a theater to see or own on DVD. It is not perfect, but it is definitely excellent...
