Review of Jackass 3.5 (2011) by David Ray G — 30 Jun 2011
I think this is the only Jackass movie I hadn't seen and watching it post Ryan Dunn's death, it was saddening more than it was entertaining. I don't think Jackass will ever be the same.
I see why this material didn't make it in the actual 3D movie. Despite being funny and typical of these guys, it was more disturbing than usual! I don't think I've ever seen more penis jokes and stunts before in one movie (the one with Chris Pontius and the cat was rather hilarious).
I've mentioned it before in a review of mine, that I love Jackass no matter how disgusting or bad-tasted it might be. I grew up with the MTV series, I'm having the time of my life watching it, and once upon a time, I attempted such stunts with my friends (yes, I know, they always warn you not to do it).
There's no point in further reviewing it. Everyone knows what Jackass is all about, and what to expect. I loved the interview segments - you don't see that often. Hopefully they'll make another movie and dedicate it to Ryan's memory.
