Review of Jack the Giant Slayer (2013) by Alvin Y — 25 Jul 2013
Fee Fye Fo FUN!! This is definitely a fun movie, with some fun action sequences. I'm however not satisfied with the performances in this movie that would have been more emotional at least. Look at the Jack and Isabelle chemistry, it suppose to be romantic, but it felt more of a cliched to me instead.
Oh, the beanstalk is something that I should say, a masterpiece in visual effects. And we've seen films like Honey I shrunk the Kids and the Lord of the Rings trilogy so, you know the story right? All I'm saying is, see this with less expectations on it or else, you won't have a jolly good time.
I wish there would be a sequel, wherein the giants attack again? Anyone?
