Review of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014) by Dylan D — 09 Jun 2014

At times this film looks like an intelligent spy, action thriller, but that is also its downfall. The script, albeit involving some decent spy detail, is at times rather dull, and we are left just wanting the explosive action scenes.

Branagh is a good villain, but one who isn't quite menacing enough. In the end, you are want a little more, and are expecting a twist that never quite comes.
