This movie just was not very good. I really had high hopes given the other very successful "jack ryan" movies and the good cast involved in this one, but the problems were just too abound and distracting.
First, Keira Knightley cannot do an American accent. Either let her keep her accent or find someone else. Second, the relationship between Jack Ryan and Dr. Muller just didn't make any sense to me.
He wants to marry her, but doesn't want to be close to her and she wants to be close to him but doesn't want to marry him. Apart from that the story just wasn't that compelling and dramatic.
They had some nice tie-ins to real events, but the rest was pretty poor. If you like the "jack ryan" movies I would just watch a different one or go read some of the books.
