Review of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014) by Richard B — 06 Sep 2014

This was a very typical espionage thriller (kind of a step below Mission Impossible, but reminded me of them). Chris Pine does a solid job in the lead and I think Keira Knightley added a lot to this, but fell into some predictable situations.

The film has some plot-holes and some characters make many questionable decisions in the film. It was weird to see Kevin Costner back in films and I didn't think he added much to it. Overall nothing more than a typical action thriller at best.
