The problem with the films that have Jack Ryan in them is that they have made five of them and four actors have played him. The Hunt For Red October was the first and unquestionably the best. Every other one since has been mediocre at best.
Its a character with potential, but its got to be done right. Twenty five years after Alec Baldwin did it, no one can.
