Review of Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016) by Michael S — 25 Oct 2016
Entertaining. Reminds me of the classic action movies from the late 80's and early 90's. It's kind of a lost art nowadays to make an entertaining action movie that isn't all big budget special effects.
I'm an avid Lee Child reader and have read every book. The film could use a little more character development and it would be nice if they explained Reacher's affinity for diners and his philosophy about eating.
I also miss the clock in Reacher's head. Actually I guess I'm really just missing being able to know what's going through Reacher's head as the story moves along. The cinema can never replace a well written book, as it should be.
