They tried to mix action and drama, but the action didn't wow me, and there wasn't enough of it. the drama didn't pull me. the teenage protagonist was an annoying and not a good emotional anchor to want to care about her.

the story was tedious and slow. this movie was about an hour too long. it had a couple of cool moments, but didn't hold my attention. Tom Cruise plays a typical stoic badass. Cobie Smulders is magnetic, and it was nice whenever she was on screen.
