Perfectly fine adaptation of the popular Lee Child novels. Cruise, as a producer, is wise to surround himself with capable actors that play off of his celebrity well. The budget is sufficient to give the movie a sleek feel but it's not filled with needless vfx, which is good.
The film also pivots slightly away from the gun fetish.
