Review of Jack Reacher (2012) by Bradysmith — 13 Jul 2015

I feel bad for overwriting my very first review on this site, but I needed to raise my score. This is a very satisfying and well made old school action thriller. Tom Cruise is great (as always), and it's directed with good attention to detail.

The action is exhilarating and unusually well staged. Plot wise it's nothing revolutionary but it's still written well enough to remain engaging. Sure, there are ways in which it could have been better.

It's not going to rewrite cinema as we know it, but it's definitely fun, and it's a lot less generic than you'd probably expect.
