Yes its not all that original but so what? It has a great cast (who all put in top notch performances), the action is really well done (with one of the best modern day car chases since Death Proof), like the score, looks good, has some funny moments and though it has a shocking opening it makes you want the hero that is Jack Reacher get the bad guys.
