A little too predictable, generic and familiar. Jack Reacher does not give any reason why it should be admired above any other detective show excluding a little longer running time. That being said, Cruise still gives a slightly impressive performance (and a couple decent other acts as well) and though it may not be worthy over more than a couple of NCIS episodes.
.. it's still a fun little ride.
